The Emerald Elf. On Wednesday last week the Emerald Elf came to give us certificates and some prizes to Room 13. The prizes were toys, pens, small notebooks and some cards to give us prizes and the certificates were green and they were a little bit big but it was fine. My prize was toy yo yo. The yo yo was purple my favourite colour. There was a lot of people getting a yo yo but the other people got another colour of the yo yo. How we got the presents it’s because every Holiday we get a Holiday reading diary we, we have to read in the Holiday and we have to write down the title of the book then we write the illustrator down and a short summary about the story. After the Holidays and we Finished the reading dairy then we bring it to school give it to the teacher an then when it’s Wednesday the Emerald Elf will come and give the prizes to the people who came to school and came with their reading dairy. When we heard the Emerald come we were so Excited to see her but Mrs Petrus our Teacher she thought that we won't come anyplace because every the Emerald Elf announces the classes that has the most reading dairies. So she only announces the 1, 2 and 3 places but Mrs Petrus was wrong we came 2 place but our teacher thought that we won’t come anyplace. We were so surprised when we heard the Emerald Elf say we were in 2 place. We loved seeing the Emerald Elf.the Emerald Elf looked like our school librarian but SHE IS THE SCHOOL LIBRARIAN!

Painting My Amazing Sarcophagus

A Sarcophagus is a type of Egyptian box that is really really HUGE! That it can fit big people.

On Monday Room 13 was painting there really really AMAZING! SARCOPHAGUSES. Room 13 made there Sarcophagus the same size as them and they used a lot of EFFORT on their Sarcophaguses. We worked like a class working together on our Sarcophaguses so we used a lot of work into it….BUT…...IT WAS A LOT OF WORK TO DO! But when we worked together it was Finished before the HOLIDAYS!

We had to wear our painting clothes and our old clothes to school because we may get some paint on our school Uniform so we weared our old clothes and our painting clothes to school. The colors that we usd were yellow, green, purple, blue, white, black, light brown, dark brown, a little bit of pink and orange. We used the white and black for the lines in the pictures that we drawed and the rest of the colors were used for the rest of the designs on the Sarcophagus.

 After painting our Sarcophaguses we putted them up on the walls so now people can come and see Room 13’s Sarcophaguses. We liked painting and designing our Sarcophaguses. Even though it was hard work we NEVER GAVE UP! So that's how we Finished early. Mrs Petrus our teachers says to us when we are doing something REALLY REALLY HARD! She says to NEVER EVER GIVE UP! And they are one of the May Road Schools learning powers NEVER GIVE UP!

A mummy is an Egyptian monster that people make.  When people die we put them in a pyramids where they can make a mummy.  NO! Mummies don’t look after us

An Anubis is a type of man that has an animal head. They are also the King and Queen’s slavers and guards of the Queen or King's palace or pyramid. They can also where it for ceremony.

First the people make the people who died be naked, second they pick up the knif, third they take out the organs.  Fourth they put the organ in a special battle and put them away. The fith day they rap the special paper around it.  The canopic jars is a special kind of jar that is important. The canopic jars as a jar that has different head and they know were they putted the organs in the jar. The organs are the stomach, lungs, heart, brain, bottem, and neck.

The mummies are kept in a cofine which is called a sarcophagus. After they make the mummy (dead body) they put the mummy (which is the dead body) in the sarcophagus.   After they put the Mummy in the sarcophagus they put that has the mummy inside a secret chamber and they bury the mummy under a secret chamber  and the slaves Don't go in a sarcophagus because they are not special so they just bury them.

The Best Film Festival 2018

I felt very happy when I saw my movie on the big screen and I was so nerves of acting. My movie was about being friendly to people, not telling lies about people and getting mad. I got my ideas from learning and listening to my ideas. I told my group one of learning powers and that is collaboration. Collaboration means that we have to work together. I would change the groups and the movie. The movies from the other schools were fantastic. I learnt to always be friendly and also Room 12 from May Road School, there movie was so sad.  I am going to be changing the movie for next year.
