Draw a Geometree
Welcome
Today I learned about geometry, I will be showing you my art that I did for my geometry task for today. I learned about scalene, isosceles and equilateral. (Scalene is circled in the colour white, isosceles is circled in colour blue & equilateral is circled in orange)
Scalene is a triangle that doesn't quite match anywhere, all sides are in different lengths. No mater how small or big the scalene triangle is, it will always be in different lengths on the sides.
Isosceles is another triangle, this triangle is another different shape. It is because this shape only has 2 sides that are equal to each other, but we know that triangle have 3 sides. So isosceles is a shape with 3 sides but only 2 are equal.
Equilateral is a triangle that is equal on all 3 sides, not one side is different from the rest of the sides. All edges are the same.

It is me Quein again, a blog commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. Wow!!! This is fantastic geometrical artwork; it reminds of the great mosaic glass stained window of the old medieval churches- Ka Pai!!!! I was also impressed that you clearly and concisely explained the different types of triangle, I can clearly see that you understood and learned alot about triangles from this task. It was really awesome to see that you circled the different triangle types in your artwork. I am really impressed you should be very proud of your mahi.
It is fantastic to see you completing so many of the tasks for the SLJ. Which has been your favorite so far? I really enjoyed paper planes and the geometrical tasks as I enjoy activities where you can create new things.
I am really looking forward to your next post
Remember to have a Super Summer!!!
Ngā mihi,

I really liked the way you told us about the different types of triangles and colour coded them.
I like the colours you used as well. They are bright and cheerful - just like summer time.
