Achieving our Dreams
Hi there, today for the SLJ we had to write down our dream job, I want to be a doctor because no one in my family is one.

  1. Hi! My name is Jia, Am from Philippines.I am a year 4 and am from Christ the King
    Catholic School, Mt.Roskill.

I want to be a doctor too because in my family my mum is always not feeling well so I want to take care of her and of course the other people too.

How did you know your family members do not work as a doctor? How about your relatives?

  2. Guten Tag Fatafehi,

Tino Pai on making it to your third bonus activity of the week! You are definitely on a roll, please don’t slow down anytime soon, I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog posts!

I really enjoyed your blog post for dream job/ achieving our dreams. I think it is so awesome that you want to be a Doctor. It would be such a rewarding job, especially because of the lives doctors save! I like that you have acknowledged that no one in your family has ever been a doctor, so you want to be the first one and try something new.

This activity also asks you to write about how your family can help you achieve this dream job of yours. What are some things your family can do, an example could be- your family being supportive of your dreams. If you want to gain full points for this activity, could you please either reply to this comment or edit/update your blog post.

I look forward to reading your updated blog post, Fatafehi.

    Kueni :)

  3. Tēnā koe Fatafehi , how is your summer going? What have you been up to?

My name is Eliza and I’m working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey this summer. Have you done the Summer Learning Journey before? I’m looking forward to reading your posts and the other bloggers' posts from the Ako Hiko cluster, over the next week! If you want to know more about me, you can check out my blog

Thanks for sharing what your dream job is - being a doctor would be really difficult but rewarding I think! I love that you are willing to try something new, even if no one has done it in your family before. That is super courageous of you, ka pai! When I was younger I wanted to be a famous singer/dancer, and even though that didn’t happen, I am now working in a job that I absolutely love :)

I’ve noticed that you haven’t been active in a while, and we really enjoyed reading your posts when you were active. I thought I would just jump on your blog and give you a gentle reminder that the Summer Learning Journey finishes next Friday (24th January) so you have until then to do as many activities as you can. Remember that the more activities you do, the more points you gain and the higher the chance of you winning some really cool prizes!

I would also encourage you to go and have a look at all the comments we have made on your posts to see if anything needs to be edited in order for you to get the full points available.

Happy blogging, I look forward to reading more of your posts :)
    Eliza.
